Concussions
Concussion (a mild traumatic brain injury) is common in football. A concussion is defined as a physiological disturbance of brain function resulting from a traumatic blow to the head or neck. Depending on the affected brain region, various signs and symptoms can occur.

The challenges in the life of a professional football player are multifaceted and can affect both mental well-being and athletic performance. The VdF (Association of German Football Players) has established a support line where players can discuss personal issues from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
